Sherry L. Payne, RN, BSN

Sherry Payne, RNSherry L. Payne, RN, BSN is a registered nurse, presenter, author, storyteller, and veteran homebirther.  She holds a BSN from Rockhurst University/Reseach College of Nursing.  She is an obstetrical nurse, a breastfeeding educator, trained doula, and certified childbirth educator.  She is the author of the widely read blog, “Homebirth Diaries”.  She is currently chairperson of the Maternal Child Health Coalition of Greater Kansas City’s Breastfeeding Committee.  She owns and operates

Perinatal ReSource, a consulting firm that promotes holistic woman-centered alternatives for birth and lactation through advocacy and education.  She is the author of a work-in-progress, a book titled, The Homebirth Workbook and producer of an upcoming documentary about homebirth.  Sherry, a mother of nine, resides in Overland Park KS with her husband Charles, and six home-birthed and breastfed children ranging in ages from 1 to 19.
